Broadcast E-mail to ShawneeLink
Customers
We have been hard at work for the past
few months preparing upgrades to our network.
WEBMAIL - effective 09/17/02
This service is being moved to a faster machine with greater
capacity. Because we have not seen older archived emails
deleted from within webmail, we will not be able to move the
existing mail from within the current webmail server to the
new webmail server without causing down-time for this service
on the conversion date.
We will maintain two webmail servers for 45 days past the
conversion:
http://webmail.shawneelink.net will continue to the be URL
for receiving and sending mail upon the conversion date.
http://arc-webmail.shawneelink.net will be the URL for the
webmail that is currently on the system. You will have the
opportunity to read or print your archived email through
November 4, 2002.
AUTHENTICATION - effective 09/18/02
Our upgraded authentication servers are -case sensitive-.
Usernames are --> lower case. Passwords are -> UPPER CASE.
You may change your username and password to the proper case
at any time prior to the conversion.
If you do not recall your password, please call our Technical
Support number at 888-247-5119. For -security- purposes, you
will be required to provide either your telephone number of
record or your ShawneeLink billing account number (also called
a group and member number). Technical support will -not- provide
you with your password without the proper security measures to
ensure that your password is handed out to the authorized
individual.
As we continue to move toward the completion
of network improvements, we will send out email(s) notifying
you in advance of any changes.
If you have any problems or questions, please call Technical
Support. This department is staffed to handle the volume
of calls that we anticipate will result when the changes
become effective.
