Luella Wright Cletcher

After a long and painful illness, God called unto His Heavenly kingdom, our friend and neighbor, Luella Wright Cletcher. She was the daughter of James and Martha Wright. Born in Pope County, Nov. 16, 1889, and reached the age of 61 years, 5 months and 7 days. In the year of 1898 she was married to James Cletcher who preceded her in death in 1928. A son also preceded her at the age of nine years.
"Aunt Dink", as she was generally known, was a woman of high attributes. She was energetic, truthful and dependable, a faithful friend in time of need. Her life was filled with love and care of her only child, Luther, and at all times was thoughtful and considerate of his every wish.
Much praise can be said of her son and his devoted wife, for the loving care and devotion to her, especially during her last illness. Those of her immediate family are, besides her son, two grandchildren, one sister, Grace; one brother, Charles Wright of Rock, Ill. Other relatives and a host of friends are saddened at her passing.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 25, conducted by Rev. Abraham Modglin from the Mt. Zion Church and burial was made in a nearby cemetery.
