THOMAS EDISON AUSTIN
Thomas E. (Tommy) Austin, 66, retired railroad worker and
resident of the
Walnut Grove community south of Harrisburg, died at his home at
10:30
p.m. Thursday. He was the husband of Mabel Austin who survives.
Also
surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Imogene Bush, Carrier Mills,
and his sons, Thomas E. Austin, Jr. and Ronnie Lee Austin, in
the family home; his brothers Loren Austin, Thompsonville, and
C. H. Austin, Carrier Mills, and three grandchildren. One daughter,
Norma Lee, preceded him indeath. The body will lie in state at
the Thornton funeral home in Carrier Mills until the funeral at
2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Walnut Grove church where he was a member.
The Rev. George Carter, former pastor of the church and the Rev.
Bernie Smith, Carrier Mills, will officiate and the church choir
will sing. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Masonic rites by Blazing Star Lodge 458, Carrier Mills, of which
he was a
member, will be observed and lodge members will be pallbearers.
