Roy F Lauderdale was born Oct 11, 1897 and departed this
life Dec 12, 1960 at the age of 63 years. He was the son of Pleas
and Martha Griffith Lauderdale, both of whom have preceded him
in death.
On Oct 2, 1917 he was joined in holy matrimony to Allie Robinson
Lauderdale who is left to mourn the passing of this, her beloved
husband.
Born to the union were six children. one child,Fay, was taken
from this family at the age of six years old. The following children
survive, Odell of Leavenworth, Kansas, Mrs. Mae Wright and Mr.
Robert Lee of Ullin; Mrs.Evelyn Anderson and Mr.Roy Jr of Vienna.
Surviving also is one sister, Ethyl Colbert of Equality; 26 grandchildren
and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him sadly.
During his life - time he worked as a carpenter, winning unto
himself many friends who became lasting and trustworthy companions
throughout his life time.
A member of the Mt Zion Baptist church, he was a faithful servant
to God and his church. It was not until he became ill that his
absence was noted from the church he loved.
A devoted husband and father he leaves his loving family behind,
to mourn his passing.
