Mae Wright 72, of Douglas and formerly of Pope Co, died
at 9:04 p.m. Thursday, May 8,1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital,
Cape Girardeau,Mo.
Mrs Wright was born June 30, 1924 in Pope Co, IL to Roy Franklin
and Allie Rettie Robinson Lauderdale. She was a member of the
Oak Grove Baptist Church, Vienna.
Survivors include her husband Douglas Wright of Dongola; five
sons, Kenneth Wright of Ocala, Fl, Daniel Wright of Bimble, Ky,
RonaldWright of Zephyr Hills, Fl, Roy Wright of Manchester, NH,
James (Jim) Wright of Dongola, seven daughters, Brenda Hutchison
of Goodlettsville, TN, Faye Noe of Pekin, IL, Marsha Dillow of
Navarre, Fl, Martha Sievers of Wetaug, IL, Mildred Howard of Vienna,
IL, Teresa Hansil of Anna, IL, and Lori Petty of Wetaug, IL; one
brother Roy Lauderdale, Jr, of Marion IL; 29 grandchildren; 11
great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; three
sisters; two sons; and two grandsons.
Services were held at 1:00pm. Sunday May 11, 1997 at Aly Funeral
Home in Vienna with the Rev. Gene Terbrak officiating, with Enloe
Clemons assisting. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Rock Community,
Pope County.
Aly Funeral Home, Vienna, was in charge of arrangements.
