Rev. Charles S. Fowler was born November 19, 1888 and departed
this life
September 16, 1919.
On September 11, 1912, he was married to Miss Katy N. Broten of
Missouri. To this union were born two children, Charles, Jr.
and Mary
Lucille.
On April 1, 1916 the death angel visited the home and took from
his
embrace his loving companion leaving her husband and little ones
to
linger for awhile.
Bro. Charles professed faith in Christ at the age of 16 and a
short time
before his death he said all was well. He based all on that hope
of
meeting where there will be no more death nor parting. He had
been
afflicted for years but he bore his sickness patiently and knowing
the
end was so near.
On his way home from a sale above Eddyville, he stopped at the
home of
Albert Burns and in spite of medical aid and all that helping
hands
could do, the Lord said it is enough, enter ye into the joys of
the
Lord.
He leaves a father, a mother, 2 brothers and one sister and his
two
darling little ones without a father or a mother, besides a host
of
friends and other relatives to mourn his death.
The bereaved family have our deepest sympathy. After funeral
services
conducted by Eld. Kyrum Maynor, the body was laid to rest in the
El
Bethel Cemetery to await the resurrection.
