William Dale Von Tungeln, Sr.
William Dale Von Tungeln, Sr., 53, of 401 West 37th Avenue,
died Monday at Jefferson Hospital.
He was born November 6, 1927, at Rison, a son of the late John
and Mary Casper Von Tungeln (from Pope Co.) he was reared and
educated in Rison.
He was employed with the United States Postal Service for 27 years
and was a manager of the customer service department.
He was a member of the Belair Presbyterian , where he was an
elder and treasurer, and also a past Sunday School teacher.
He served in the Marine Corps for four years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dora E. Fowler Von Tungeln; two
sons, William Dale Von Tungeln, Jr. of Pine Bluff and Ralph W.
Curtis of Douglass, Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. Susan C. Hardin
of Pine Bluff; four brothers, George Von Tungeln of Pine Bluff,
James D. Von Tungeln of Los Angeles. Harold Von Tungeln of Risen
and Roscoe Von Tungeln of Farmington, New Mexico; three sisters,
Mrs. Jewel Klink of Brownfield, Illinois,
Mrs. Annie Reid of Pine Bluff and Mrs. Birdie Albee of Southgate,
Calif; and seven grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be
announced by Ralph Robinson & Son Mortuary.
