How gentle is the touch of cooling rain
Upon the parched and thirsting desert sand.
It sheds its mercies on the burning wastes
And heals again the dry and barren land.

How gentle is the touch of Heaven's love
Upon a weary and sin-burdened soul.
It falls as softly as the cooling showers
To heal the heart, and make the spirit whole

Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Ivan V. Christoff, were held Sunday, December 17, at 2:00 p. m., at the Glendale Methodist church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Aly Funeral Home, Eddyville, was in charge of arrangements.
