Elmina Barger Stone
Mrs. Elmina Barger Stone, born Nov. 11, 1854, passed to
her heavenly reward Feb. 20, 1941., at the age of 86 years, three
months and nine days.
In early womanhood she was united with the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian
Church and was a sincere Christian until death.
Miss Barger was united in marriage to Mr. William Stone October
8, 1871. To this union was born 10 children. Her husband and
four children preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her
departure six children: Mrs. Julia Barger, Eddyvile, Ill.; Mr.
Joseph Stone, Mr. Jonathan Stone, Mrs. Martha Martin, Mrs. Mary
Tarrant and Mrs Rilla Blackman, all of Carrier Mills; one brother,
Mr. Green Barger of Carrier Mills, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Louisa
Smith, of McCormick, Ill.; Mrs. Sarah Newton, Eddyville, Ill.,
and Mrs. Delia Shell, Harrisburg, Ill.;
36 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild
and
other relatives and friends.
Funeral was conducted by Rev. O. A. Epperheimer, assisted by Rev.
W. F. Billingsley, both of Eddyville.
