Mary Rumsey Moyers

Mary Rumsey Moyers, daughter of Richard and Margaret Reames Rumsey, was born in Pope County, Ill. September 14, 1885 and died at the home of her daughter, Juanita Parsons, Sunday morning, Jan. 1, 1978, at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 18 days.
Mary became the bride of W. C. Moyers, April 9, 1909. They established their home west of Eddyville in the Cedar Grove community. One daughter was born to this union. This earthly union was broken February 18, 1967 when Court was called home to be with the Lord.

Mary accepted Christ as her personal Saviour as a young lady and united with the Boulden Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where her membership remained until the time of her death. She was a devoted Christian, a faithful wife, and a loving mother, and a neighbor who was always ready
to help her friends in any way that she could when needed.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Leslie Parsons, several nieces and nephews and cousins and other relatives and unnumbered friends.

When all is done and my last word is said
And you who loved me murmer, "She is dead."
Let no one weep, for fear that I should know,
And sorrow, too, that you should sorrow so,
When all is done, say not my day is o'er,
And that through the night I seek a dimmer shore;
Say rather that my morn has just begun,
I greet the dawn and not a setting sun,
When all is done.
