Louise Henrietta Voslow
Louise Henrietta Voslow, daughter of Henry and Amelia Voslow
was born Sept.8,1874, departed this life Dec. 13, 1951 at her
home in Golconda, Ill.
Miss Yetta, as she was affectionately called by her many friends,
lived her entire life in Pope County, and for many years operated
the Valley Inn, where she befriended all that were in need and
made loyal and lasting friends. She will indeed be missed in
this little community.
These of her surviving family are three sisters Mrs. Mary
Racine, Terre Haute, Ind., Mrs. George Crank, Golconda, Ms. Laura
Gallimore, Eddyville, a nephew, Loren Voslow, Peoria, a niece,
Mrs. Brose Phillips,
Harrisburg, a nephew, Tony Matthews, who made his home with her
and many other relatives and a wide circle of friends to mourn
her passing.
Two brothers, Julius and Henry Voslow; two sisters, Mrs. Julia
Ellis and Mrs. Emma Matthews, preceded her in death a number of
years ago.
Miss Voslow was a devoted Christian proving it by her daily living.
