Greeley R. Parr

Greeley R. Parr, son of Thomas and Ann Parr, was born Sept. 20, 1887, died Oct. 21, 1951, at the age of 64 years, one month and one day. Greely as he was commonly called by those who knew him, had the misfortune some time ago to break his right hip and died in the Doctor's Hospital in Metropolis, Ill., after he had been released once but due to complications had to re-enter following his first release.
He was married to Alva Russell of Temple Hill, February 28, 1912. To this union five sons were born, namely, Olen of San Francisco, Calif., Elzie of Temple Hill, Merrel of St. Louis, Mo., Rodney of St. Louis, Mo., Crait of Temple Hill. He also leaves five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Lewis of Brownfield, and Mrs. Allene Holmes of Peoria, Ill.. One brother, Cyrus of Temple Hill, two half-brothers, Otto of California and Elzie of Coppell, Texas. One sister, Mrs. Myrtle Schrenk passed away in February 1922.
His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 15, 1942, leaving the above named together with other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his death.
Mr. Parr will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
