It is with much regret that we chronicle the death of John
T. Ledbetter, who died at his home at Peters Creek on Thursday,
Nov. 26 following almost immediately after the death of his father.
His death was quite sudden and unexpected, only a few short weeks
ago we saw him actively engaged in the campaign, full of hope
and expectations, Yellow Jaundice and its complications were the
immediate cause of his death. He was in the 52nd year of his
age, a member of the late war, was once elected a Assessor and
Treasurer of Hardin County and served two terms as Sheriff. He
was formerlya member of the Baptist church and a consistent member,
but retrograded into by and forbidden paths but it is said he
died in the hope of eternal life. "I have the newspaper obit but don't know what newspaper." BETTYG_01@msn.com |
