Annie Ruth Trigg, 63, of Rt. Simpson, died
in the Massac Memorial Hospital, Metropolis, ILl., Friday, April
25, 1969.
She was the daughter of James Eli and Hifsy Kerley Watkins and
was born near Simpson, December 10, 1905.
Surviving are her husband, J. Trigg, three sons, Hobart Trigg,
Lompoe, Calif., John Trigg, Germany, James Trigg, Simpson; five
daughters, Mrs. Violet Broadway, Smithville, Ark., Mrs. Lucy Johnson,
, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, Jonesboro, Mrs. Ruth Longworth, Simpson,
Mrs. Ludean Spurlin, Carlyle, Ind.,her mother, Mrs. Hifsy Watkins,
sisters, Mrs. Della Sharp, Simpson, Mrs. Pauline Whiteside, Murrayville,
Ill.; thirty-three grandchildren and one great grandson. Two
sisters are deceased.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 28 at 2 p.m. at the Primitive
Baptist Church at Rock Springs, with Elder W. Y. Chandler officiating.
Interment was Rock Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Randall Barnes, David Broadway, Joe
Johnson, Eugene Trigg, Kenneth Trigg and Billy Longsworth.
