Curtis Albert Bynum

Curtis Albert Bynum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Burt Bynum, was born near Golconda, Illinois on March 12, 1906(?),* and died in Flint, Mich., April 26, 1926.
When Curtis was nine years old he suffered a long siege of rheumatism and was never strong anymore. Then in 1922 he fell victim to that dreaded disease, influenza, which weakened him more, but through his strong will he held on and kept striving to regain his health.
He attended the Lilbourn school for seven years. He went to Flint, Mich., on February 1st, 1926 and stayed with his brother, Coy, whose noble care of him under trying conditions will ever be an honor to him.
Curtis went to Michigan hoping to regain his health. He seemed to be getting much better when he had an attack with his heart which took him away suddenly.
He was attended in his last days by his brother, Coy. Will Smith accompanied Coy home with the mortal remains. Funeral from the home in Lilbourn, Mo. Interment at Sikeston Memorial park.
Curtis leaves to mourn their loss a devoted mother and father and brother, Coy, all of Lilbourn, two sisters, Mrs. A. H. Toma, of St. Louis, and Mrs. M. R. Burris of Vienna, Ill., and a host of other relatives and friends.
