Bowman Reunion 1998

The Bowman reunion was celebrated July 4, 1998 at Dixon Springs State Park. Bill Morse offered thanks for the abundant food served by our excellent cooks. Awards were presented to the oldest person, Missouri Morse,85 who also had the most descendants present; the youngest, 9 month-old Taylor Morse; the newly-weds, Sandra Morse and Devon Greenwald (May22); traveling farthest was Steve, Teresa and Joshua Bowman from MS; living look- a-likes were Jack Morse and his son, Brian and Doris Wetter and daughter, Amanda; looking most like their older ancestor was Marion O.(Spanky) and deceased father, Ben Bowman and Earl and deceased father, Alvis Bowman; Bill Wetter claimed prize for the most bald, and Billie Nell Bowman Crooks received the door prize.

Fun, fellowship and genealogical sharing were enjoyed by all 46 registered persons, namely, Earl E. and Faye Bowman, Brad, Barbara, Brittany and Brandon Eugene Bowman, Norman and Evelyn Wetter, Bill and Roberta Morse, Gayla Morse all of Golconda; John and Shannon Bowman of Metropolis, Missouri Morse and Gayle West, of Earlville, Steve, Teresa and Joshua Benjamin Bowman of Brookhaven, MS; Marion O. and Betty Bowman of Benton; Charles and Louise Bowman Allen, Benton, KY, Betty Whiteside Charnell of Vienna, Bud Anglin of McClure, Jack and Ruby Morse, Brian, Connie, Brian, Jr., and Christopher Alan Paul Morse, Jr., of Metropolis; Patty and Lori Heflin of Paducah, KY; Billie Nell and Bob Crooks of Columbus Junction, Iowa; Roger, Lisa and Taylor Elaine Morse, Brenda and Dylan Alsip, Randy Gord all of Aurora; Angela Weaver of McCleansboro; Devon and Sandra Greenwald of Brookport; Bill, Doris, Amanda, Becky and Billy Wetter of St. Charles.
