Rock Switch Board in Pope County Discontinued

After 42 years of service to people of that community, the old switchboard at Rock has been replaced with a modern board located at Robbs, Ill. For the greater part of these years, thirty- eight to be exact, and both night and day, Mr. and Mrs. George Parmley have operated the Rock board. To Mr. and Mrs. Parmley should go a vote of thanks and appreciation for their untiring service for these past thirty-eight years.
Since Rock has been connected to the Robbs board, Robbs now rings Simpson and many party lines. Mr. A. L. Robbs has recently completed the new telephone line at a great expense, which no doubt will improve service in that section.
